Student Council
The ultimate goal for the Children’s University Student Council is to teach our children that you can help make a positive change in your school and community through elected leadership roles.
Children’s University Student Council is a school and community leadership/service group. Our students learn what it means to be a leader along with curriculum on how to become a leader. Students learn the electoral process by running for office and then assume their leadership positions and fulfill the designated duties for their elected role. Throughout the school year, student council members hold fundraisers for schoolwide improvements and contributions. They plan and facilitate off-campus community service projects such as: Child Protective Service toy drive and distribution; local nursing home visits/performances; neighborhood park clean-up; and donating and collecting food, clothing, and toiletries for local shelters.
